Bar Games
Workshop Outputs, 2020

Outputs from a weeklong basil.js workshop taught by Ted Davis at UIC. Our only constraints were that the final output had to be composed using basil.js a thermal receipt printer. This project seeks to produce oblique versions of pen and paper games that you may have played as a kid to pass the time (exquisite corpse, word searches, mazes, etc.). Rare “misprints” have also been coded in that give the players prizes they can redeem at the bar. The idea is that this could be implemented at barcades.
