Compositions from Shiraz Abdullahi Gallab’s Distant Composition course. This class was a version of Martin Venszky’s Form Studio designed to be taught online. The final output was a group publication composed in Google Sheets. Formal explorations are ordered from initial sketches to final sketches. These were created using assigned objects (paper clip) a scanner, a phone camera, a flash light, tracing paper, printer paper, various mark making tools, and additional found objects that share similar characteristics to the assigned object, and a tower of plate glass to create layers and depth of field.
