In Concert with Jen de los Reyes
Exhibition Graphics, Publication & Print Ephemera, 2024
with Oscar Solis
We worked with the Co-Propserity team, and curators Anthony Stepter, Astria Suparak and Nick Wylie to create a series of zines, print ephemera, and exhibition graphics for Jen de los Reyes’ retrospective In Concert with Jen de los Reyes.
In Concert is the first mid-career retrospective of influential social practice artist, organizer, and educator Jen de los Reyes who has made a concerted effort to live and make work in accordance with her principles, including pragmatic organizing practices informed by her early years in punk music communities and recent anti-corporate and anti-racist direct action. Efforts were made to keep Jen’s practice at the center when making any design decisions like the choice to produce a series of zines that approach art-book territory or large wall text was installed using painter’s tape.
Keeping in line with Jen’s DIY approach all books and print ephemera were Riso-printed, cut, and bound by Oscar and I (with saddle stitch assistance by NeroInk).
